What an IAAP-certified accessibility auditor actually does
The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) certifies accessibility specialists at a few levels — CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, a foundational credential) and WAS / CPWA (Web Accessibility Specialist / Certified Professional in Web Accessibility, the hands-on technical audit credentials). SEBI's circulars require the accessibility audit itself to be signed off by an IAAP-certified professional. Arihant Intellect is a web/IT studio — we are not ourselves the IAAP-certified auditor. The accessibility mandate for Regulated Entities has built up through a series of SEBI circulars:
- 31 Jul 2025 — digital accessibility circular issued for Regulated Entities.
- 29 Aug 2025 — follow-up digital accessibility circular.
- 25 Sep 2025 — follow-up digital accessibility circular.
- 8 Dec 2025 — follow-up digital accessibility circular.
- 31 Jul 2026 — timeline extended: the audit + remediation deadline moved to 31 October 2026; all earlier provisions remain mandatory.

Who can conduct a SEBI website accessibility audit?
SEBI requires the audit to be carried out by an accessibility professional certified by the IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals). We arrange this through our IAAP-certified audit partners, then remediate the findings.
What is the accessibility audit deadline?
Per SEBI's circular dated 31 July 2026, the deadline for conducting the accessibility audit and remediating findings is 31 October 2026 for all Regulated Entities. Always confirm the current date on sebi.gov.in.
How much does an accessibility audit cost?
The IAAP audit is priced either per web page (₹1,500 per page + GST) or as a fixed package from ₹15,000 + GST — whichever suits your site. Remediation is separate, and it's minimal when the site is built accessible to begin with (our audit-ready websites start at ₹5,555).
